As Deputy General Manager of Mitsubishi Corporation (Singapore Branch), collaborate with Tokyo HQ and representatives of subsidiaries in Singapore to lead in the development and execution of all strategic and business aspects of the Company, manage resources, risk and returns with the goal of driving the Company’s development and guide it towards long-term success.

  • Create Company’s vision & mission and lead in the development of short- and long-term strategies, aligning with Tokyo HQ’s strategies.
  • Responsible for comprehensive regional strategies, coordinating initiatives among group companies in Singapore.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and strategic thinking across group companies in Singapore.
  • Direct financial or budget activities to fund operations, source new business opportunities, and increase efficiency.
  • Analyze operations to evaluate company’s and employees’ performance in meeting objectives, to determine areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, and/or policy changes.
  • Lead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement and to develop a high performing managerial team.
  • Enforce adherence to legal requirements and in-house policies to maintain corporate governance and social responsibility.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline or equivalent
  • High proficiency in English language and Japanese language (JLPT Level N1 or ability to speak, read and write at business level) to communicate effectively through phone calls, emails and/or meetings with the head office in Tokyo, as well as both local and expatriate staff in the branch office and subsidiary companies.
  • Skills to present presentation materials both in English language and Japanese language to communicate with counterparties.
  • More than 10 years’ experience in abovementioned requirements.
