Supporting, Nurturing and Inspiring our Children and Youth – Social Programme Executive in The Fort youth centre will work with youth (aged 13 to 18 years old) and significant adults (eg: school personnel and caregivers) to create safe and enabling environment for our youth to secure for them holistic development for smoother transition into adulthood.
Scope of Job Role:
- Build developmental relationship with youth members and visitors
- Plan and facilitate group and/or individual programs/initiatives with/for youth members and visitors
- Review the effectiveness of programs/initiatives for improvement
- Build rapport and professional relationships with significant others (eg: school personnel, community partners, families) to facilitate collaboration/partnership
- Conduct environmental scans and community needs or strengths assessments
- Support in the development and implementation of community outreach and development initiatives, involving youth members
- Review community outreach and community development initiatives for improvement
- Keep abreast of current research and trends
- Participate in research to uplift the professional practice in social work
- Assist in data collection and support action research activities for service improvement
- Staff AA and VSP when needed
Job Requirements:
- Degree in Social Work/Psychology/Counselling
- Preferably some experience working with youth (aged 13 to 18)
- Good communication and engagement skills, group facilitation skills, program development and implementation skills or knowledge
- Willing to work on weekends and/or weekday evenings
