Responsibilities:
- Lead a group of Production Technicians in the safe and smooth running of the production.
- Assist the Process Engineer to conduct activities and projects to optimize operation during Shift to achieve operational and cost efficiency.
- Troubleshoot plant/equipment/quality issues and recommend countermeasures.
- Monitor and ensure plant equipment integrity and reliability.
- Assist the Process Engineer to support Shift operation by providing suitable operating conditions for stable plant operation and product quality control.
- Train and develop team members
Requirements:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent, preferably with 1 to 2 years of experience in petroleum, chemical or polymer industries.
- Have knowledge of process control and troubleshooting, hands on knowledge of plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Essential prerequisites include good analytical and technical report writing skills, ability to be a team player with leadership, initiative, drive & commitment, able to take pressure and able to communicate well with others.
- This is a shift work position (i.e. Rotating AM and PM shifts, including weekends and Public Holiday) and there will be scheduled off days
