Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive global parts sourcing strategy to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of parts
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers in China, India, and ASEAN, negotiate, and establish contracts, and maintain relationships to ensure a reliable and competitive supply chain
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and technological advancements related to parts sourcing and procurement
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators and metrics related to sourcing, supplier performance, and cost savings
- Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce operating costs
· Identify slow-moving parts of each direct entity, offered to other entities and dealers; and suggested to return to the PDC
· Minimize the freight, import duty, and tax for each entity
- Collaborate with multiple functions, such as parts planning counterparts, sales, service, and technical teams to lead the part inventory planning process
· Stock parts concerning the truck install base, new truck series, and technical issues database
- Create highly accurate spare part demand forecasts for complex truck series
- Perpetually identify and address risks associated with truck series obsolescence
- Ensure the level of parts inventory can be readily proportioned to the business plan and market strategies of each entity
- Analyse forecast and actual consumption history for trends to maintain optimal inventory levels to meet repair job requirements
- Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory outlooks/forecasts of each entity
- Conduct local vendor evaluation for all the local sourcing parts and services
- Negotiate SNP prices on high-value parts and bulk purchase parts with PDC
- Respond to inquiries, maintain records, attend meetings, and other duties as needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum a diploma holder (preferable in Supply Chain Management)
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Willing to travel around 40% of the time
- Working knowledge in SAP is a MUST
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Posses good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese in order to liaise with suppliers in China
