Role: Library Executive/Senior Library Executive
Responsibilities
- Provide enquiry services for users pertaining to loan and membership transactions, feedback, and assist in the use of library resources and facilities with the service standards established.
- Train, manage, and participate in the assessment of a pool of Student Assistants.
- Provide a range of services in various libraries during the evening and weekends opening hours.
- Provide access to course reserves in support of teaching and learning, including the overseeing the operations to process, track, and re-shelve reserves in a timely manner.
- Manage the libraries including basic troubleshooting of equipment and working condition of library facilities.
- Assist in office administrative work which includes (but is not limited to) rostering of staff and Student Assistants, collation of statistics, budget tracking, procurement etc.
Requirements
- A recognized Diploma in any field. Salary up to $3,500, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Work experience in libraries or service-oriented organizations is advantageous.
- Familiarity with library management systems (e.g. Alma) would be beneficial.
Work hours
- Mondays to Thursdays : 8.30 am to 5.45 pm Friday : 8.30 am to 5.15 pm Lunch : 45 minutes
- There will be after-office-hours (AOH) duties to be undertaken as follows:
Weekdays: 2.45pm – 9.45pm (est once a week)
Saturday: 8.30am – 5.15pm (est once a month)
