Job Descriptions:

  • To monitor day to day operations, as well as monthly performance
  • To share market intelligence and/or reports with traders and chartering colleagues to keep up with the changing trend nowadays
  • To provide reliable chartering service in assisting PTT traders, PTT Group affiliate and 3rd party to executive contracts and offer competitive freight, combined market outlook and real-time updates of shipping market vibrations.
  • To charter spot vessel as well as time-charter requirement and/or COA, CVC when applicable. Currently in charge of all crude oil and fuel oil segments system and non-system cargo, vessel size ranging from MR, panama, aframax, suezmax, and VLCC. Worldwide fixtures routes covering west Africa, Caribbean area, Mediterranean, Red Sea, south east Asia, North West Australia, and North Asia.
  • To support traders’ tender business in providing achievable firm indication and/or assessment, follow by competitors movement for better understanding the market flow.
  • To enhance and maximize current fleet profit and utilization rate through coordination and negotiation in achieving win-win situation between internal and external customers.
  • To maintain and improve business connection and relationship with all related parties for mutual benefit, including ship owners, brokers, agent, surveyor, and so on.
  • To follow chartering business plans and strategies to maximize revenue and profit, emphasizing business stability and Thailand energy security. Align with the goals of the organization and meet the requirements of the organization, following the specified strategies.
  • To cooperate with internal and external counterparty in seeking profit maximization, such as co-load opportunity and vessel swap.
  • Also coordinate with relevant internal and external units within the international trade business, including trading and operations, derivative trading, risk management, accounting, finance, and legal to establish conditions for comprehensive and maximally benefit. Also, addressing operational issues in accordance with contract terms.
  • Maintain and enhance positive relationships with trade networks, business partners, and relevant government entities to exchange market movement information, reputation, trustworthiness, and trade opportunities. This is done to conduct sustainable business operations under the principles of good corporate governance.
  • Identify opportunities and undertake initiatives to expand business related to the transportation of various petroleum products (CRUDE, PRODUCT, LPG, NGL, INTERMEDIATE FEEDSTOCK, alternative products, and others). Emphasize profit generation in international trade activities.
  • Collaborate with oversea offices, such as in Singapore, UAE, London, USA etc. specifically in the procurement of transportation for CRUDE, CONDENSATE, FEEDSTOCK, and related products. This falls under the framework of a GLOBAL BOOK operation aimed at increasing profits and · income internationally. Enhance trade networks and establish comprehensive stability in international trade operations.
  • To conduct trading tickets and record data in the CTRM system for various transportation transactions, such as CRUDE, CONDENSATE, FEEDSTOCK, and related products, following the framework of approval authority, within the time frame and regulations set by the international trade business unit.
  • Organize detailed data and reports on transportation procurement and market conditions systematically for internal use and timely submission to relevant units.
  • Conduct meetings and coordinate with internal units, SUPPLIERS, REFINERIES, END USERS, TRADERS, both domestic and international journalists, as well as government officials, to increase trade opportunities and exchange transportation-related information in line with business changes.
  • Monitor, oversee, and control the transportation of goods to comply with the terms of the charter party agreement.
  • Participate in joint meetings with various refineries, both internal and external customers of PTT, which contracts transportation services, to enhance understanding and collaboration in joint work.
  • Analyze fundamental factors and monitor the daily and weekly market movements of all types of petroleum transportation and related products. This information is used as supporting data for forecasting freight prices, allowing PTT to negotiate and find opportunities for procuring transportation services in accordance with the established strategies.
  • Monitor the forward freight (FFA) market situation to analyze and evaluate risk management situations.
  • Participate in projects such as PRISM, GLM (PTT GROUP MARINE EXCELLENCE, LOGISTICS ZERO ACCIDENT, MARINE FLAGSHIP, etc.) between PTT and affiliated companies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor / Master Degree in Logistics, Maritime, Business Management, or related field
  • Minimum 3 - 6 years of experience in Oil & Gas and related industry, working experience from extensive positions from charterers, vessel owners, and brokers will be a plus
  • Proficiency in Thai language as the incumbent needs to work closely with Thai-speaking parties.
  • Special knowledge: PTTPLC policy / TBU policy / TBU operation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication skills
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Able to work independent with minimal supervision
  • Meticulous and detailed person
  • Logical thinking and fast leaner
