Research Fellow / Senior Fellow (Social Cohesion Research)
The S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), a Graduate School of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), is a leading research-intensive and teaching institution in strategic and international affairs and policy-oriented think tank in the Asia-Pacific region.
RSIS invites applications for the position of Research Fellow / Senior Fellow in RSIS under the Social Cohesion Research team. The successful applicant is expected to lead and facilitate strategic events, seminars, workshops, and the International Conference on Cohesive Societies (ICCS). He/She will be required to critically evaluate and review the empirical and theoretical evidence related to the assigned project and present the report findings to stakeholders. He/she will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, as well as with various government ministries and agencies. He/She is also responsible for the supervision and coaching of the team’s junior research staff and ensuring that the team’s deliverables are met in a timely manner.
The successful candidate should:
- Possess a PhD or relevant work experience in social sciences with a robust foundation in statistics, econometrics, or analytics;
- Have experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and analysis;
- Have relevant experience in project management and operational procedures;
- Have an interest on Singapore and the region, including but not limited to issues related to race and religion, inequality, social diversity, and geopolitical dynamics; and
- Possess excellence writing and research skills with an aptitude and interest for in-depth research in the relevant field.
