A Research Fellow position is currently available in the Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Singapore Membrane Technology Center (NEWRI - SMTC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct membrane related projects for desalination, water reuse, resource recovery and etc
- Mentor junior PhD students, master students, undergraduate students for their research projects
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree from a reputable university in chemical engineering, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, chemistry and etc
- Excellent journal paper publication record
- Excellent proposal writing and report writing skill
- Oral presentation skill and multitasking skill
- Relevant research experience on membrane technology and separation technologies
- Relevant research experience and industrial experience in membrane process and system development, operation, and optimization will be preferred
- Relevant research experience in membrane and separation process modelling/simulation, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), big data, and/or digital twin development will be preferred
- Relevant research experience in the fabrication/synthesis of RO/NF/FO/PRO/ion exchange membranes/organic solvent membranes and/or organic chemical synthesis will be preferred
- Self-motivated and able to work on your own and in a team
- Good collaborative spirit
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good communication and writing in English
- Strong responsibility
