KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all content and editorial tasks including editing, writing, content strategy, and steering the overall direction and voice of the organisation’s communication strategies. This includes the production of annual reports, publications, speeches, media releases, etc.
- Ensure and maintain good brand and communication consistency for all company materials and collaterals.
- Engagement of both internal and external stakeholders in successfully executing initiatives, including meetings, dialogues, events, etc.
- Develop strategic communications plan for key events.
- Media engagement for the publicity of the organisation’s activities. Craft media replies and coordinate media interviews.
- Media monitoring for news coverage on the organisation, executive council members and related industry news.
- Formulation of organisation’s annual budget recommendation paper.
- Plan and execute organisation’s council meetings and AGM.
- Event support and emcee duties as assigned.
- Provide general administrative support as required.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong tertiary education in Mass Communications, Social Science or related disciplines.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Possess knowledge and a keen interest in current affairs.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the ability to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership qualities and good project management skills.
2. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
3. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE
- Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public/media relations or related positions.
