Job Description
· Leading the TBM tunneling team, including briefing and guidance of the TBM tunneling team, implementation of the health, safety, environmental and quality standards into execution of TBM tunneling works;
· Guiding and developing the TBM tunneling team in terms of skills & competencies as well as assistance in recruiting of tunneling personnel;
· Implementing the TBM Management and Monitoring Plan, meeting all regulations, standards, as well as HSE requirements;
· Determination of required resources for TBM tunneling works, including labour and equipment;
· Planning of material and equipment to optimise tunneling equipment and activities;
· Ensuring all work is pre-planned in detail through method statements and risk analysis;
· Preparation of work sequencing including interfaces with construction of cross passages;
· Preparing of work procedures and method statements related to TBM tunneling works including but not limited to TBM
· Responsible for overall maintenance and operation of Plant and Equipment for Tunneling including TBM’s.
· Oversee mechanical activities, maintenance, testing and commissioning of TBM & plant equipment/ machineries.
· Review TBM design and plan Tunnel Equipment Compatible to TBM.
Requirements
· Minimum 20 years of engineering experience with recognised, and at least 15 years of experience in managing tunnelling works of megaproject scale and complex nature of work
· Minimum 15 years of experience in Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) operation and maintenance of plant and equipment relevant to TBM tunnelling works.
· Fully responsible for the management of tunneling and analysis of tunneling work progress and timely progress reporting.
· Experience in managing and operating the EPB TBM’s, planning logistics and managing an experienced Plant team.
· Knowledge of geotechnical engineering for tunneling works.
