Finance Manager

Finance Manager

Salary Range: SGD9,000-9,500

You will be responsible for financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems as well as effective working capital management to minimize cost and risk. Supporting business units in management reporting, financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, reviewing operation performance and recommending improvements.

Accounting and tax reporting

  • Timely and accurate submission of monthly financial & management accounts.
  • Liaise with tax consultants on accurate and on-time preparation and submission of tax returns to the relevant authorities.
  • Ensure that record keeping complies with legislative requirements.
  • Liaise with external and internal auditors.

Financial controls

  • Accounts receivable management, including credit control, timely collection and credit insurance to minimise bad debts.
  • Accounts payable management and timely payment to suppliers.
  • Accurate inventory costing and recording.
  • Ensure compliance with Group Finance Policy.
  • Recommend internal controls and processes which can enhance operational and financial efficiency.

Financial planning & analysis (FP&A)

  • Analyse monthly actual performance compared to budget and reasons for variances.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process.

Treasury

  • Liaise with bankers for utilisation of bank facilities.
  • Effective cash flow management and minimise interest costs.

Business

  • Provide regular updates on business performance.
  • Support Business Heads in performance analysis and identify issues affecting achievement of business objectives.

People management

  • Manage Finance team, including recruiting, dismissing, coaching, training, motivating and counselling the team.
  • Enforce HR policies, procedures and practices to the team.
  • Perform staff appraisal on each team member.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Master degree in Accountancy with a recognised accounting qualification such as Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
  • Have at least 8+ years of progressive experience in the finance & accounting functions in a mid­ sized corporation.
  • Have at least 5+ years Big-Four accounting firm working experience.
  • Good management skills and ability to lead by example.
  • Solid technical knowhow.
  • Hands-on and meticulous with an eye for details.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passionate and results-driven.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Adaptability to constant changes.
