Working on an exciting opportunity with a leading technology MNC with offices across the globe. This newly created role will provide additional legal support to their dynamic team of lawyers for their payments business. Offering a range of products including consumer lending, mobile wallet services, credit offerings, payment processes and related digital financial services, the focus of this role will be on the APAC region.
The Role:
- Counsel the product & business teams on a range of issues including payments, financial regulatory frameworks, market development & expansion, and other legal matters.
- Conduct the necessary research and front the respective regulators/authorities.
- Structure, draft and negotiate key deals with financial partners.
- Actively collaborate with a wide variety of teams in relation to geographical growth, regulatory compliance, product & commercial development.
- Work closely with colleagues across the regional/global legal team to support the company's regulatory structure, strategic financial partnerships, and other legal matters.
- Stay updated on international regulations, consumer protection and general financial developments.
Successful candidates will possess:
- A recognized Law degree and a minimum of 7PQE, gained with the banking or regulatory practice of a top international law firm or in-house.
- Strong ability to work autonomously and independently and within multi-functional teams.
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced and global environment.
