1 Overall Job Purpose
1.1
To perform single or multiple specific tasks in developing and maintaining a logically linked schedule for a designated section of assigned project(s) or a segment of more complex assignment, and prepare relevant reporting and analysis to effectively and efficiently communicate project status at regular intervals.
2 Core Responsibilities
2.1
Under the supervision of Lead Planner or a direct report of this position, collate and compile the necessary information to support timely schedule development and reporting.
2.2
Develop the project planning and progress measurement procedures in accordance with project requirements and ensure proper implementation in the course of work.
2.3
Understand the technical scope of the work and the right sequence and duration of activities to create a viable project plan.
2.4
Develop and maintain logically linked, resources loaded (where applicable) detailed plans using Company planning tools and best industry practices.
2.5
Track project progress and challenge project stakeholders including subcontractors involved with planning and progress measurement activities.
2.6
Consolidate and check consistency of planning and progress data.
2.7
Produce and maintain workforce histograms, progress s-curves and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in connection with the schedule(s).
2.8
Provide ad-hoc reports, “look-ahead”, critical path reviews, “what-if” scenarios, and other relevant tools that will assist in planning and schedule analysis.
2.9
Assess and communicate schedule impacts of all changes envisaged as part of the management of change process.
2.10
Recognize opportunities and resource optimizations to most efficiently execute the planned set of activities.
2.11
Contribute and participate to the Project Risk Management process by providing planning input and identifying schedule impacts for risks’ occurrences.
2.12
Perform schedule risk analysis using company tools and best industry practices.
2.13
Provide guidance and support to less experienced planning staff as required.

Has no budget responsibility.

Provide advice to Lead Planner or direct report of this position on schedule forecasts along with any preventive or mitigation measure
5
Work Relationships
5.1
Report to Project Controls Department Manager when not assigned to a specific project.
5.2
Report to Lead Planner or a different Project Controls position based on project complexity and relevant organogram (e.g.: Project Controls Manager, Planning Supervisor, etc.)
5.6
Deal extensively with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Cost Control, Document Control, Project Management, Procurement, Construction, Contracts, Quality, Operations, etc.
5.7
Deal frequently with yards and engineering subcontractors on all aspects related to planning and progress measurements.
6 Job Challenges and Problem Solving
6.1
Getting timely and accurate input from numerous stakeholders (both internal and external) for developing the plan and providing reporting as per contractual deadlines
6.2
Independently analyzing, interpreting and evaluating received data, challenging relevant stakeholders on the choice of estimates’ methods and assumptions.
7 Qualifications & Experience
7.1
Educational Qualification:
Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, or Operations Management
7.2
Certification(s):
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) preferred
7.3
Relevant Experience:
· 8 years of planning experience in oil and gas industry (or)
· 12 years of planning experience in other industries with sound knowlodge of Oil & Gas process and FPSO projects
· Knowledge of project management, risk management and change management processes
· Previous working experience in a senior role is preferred
7.4
Language(s) and Software: List any special language requirement besides English and also any fundamental software skill(s) required by this job.
