The Operations Manager is to manage and oversee the Profit & Loss for each outlet. You will plan and set KPI on the sales, profits, cost of goods, quality service and clinliness; partnership with Group Chef and kitchens to develop strategie and achieving the business target. You will also required to work closely with HR on manpower planning, performance and reward systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and create business action plans, strategies and work with Restaurant Managers and Head Chef on menu engineering menu and to ensure smooth implementation and proper tracking are in place, in terms of costing sheet, improving work process, sales, profit, COGs, upselling and propositions for staff incentives.
- Facilitate commercial business and operations with creativity and innovations.
- Oversee the overall operational activities, optimising staff productivity and efficiencies at all time.
- Analyse past business and financial trends, threats, and growth opportunities for the respective outlet.
- Generate and produce bi-monthly updates and monthly report with the HQ team.
- Introduce new menu item, food presentation, service delivery and tone of voice to upkeep the brand image standard for each concept.
- Manpower planning, participate in recruitment and onboarding process.
- Keep Operations Team motivated and positive, build confidence and providing emotional and technical support.
- Assess and evaluate team members performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure all operational standards in terms sanitation requirements, food safety regulations, operations licenses and loss prevention are consistently met.
- Gather guests’ feedback and implement any corrective measures and improvements when necessary.
- Involved directly with bi-annual budgeting, sales reports & forecasts and inventory management.
- Ensure outlets upkeep appliances, kitchen equipment, aircon, furniture etc are reliable and working condition, and following up on regular maintenance.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Management, or equivalent.
- At least 6-8 years of experience in operations or business development, with 4 years in managerial position, or with relevant working experience.
- Possess good foresight and helicopter view to identify trends, see overall progress and anticipating ahead.
- Competent with financial analysis, effective problem-solving skill and strong decision-making skill.
- Possess people skills and effective communicator.
- Meticulous to details.
- Mature and attentive listener.
- Required to work on off-office hours as and when required.
- Required to travel from outlet to outlet frequently.
- IT savvy, proficient with Microsoft software and applications.
