AEROSPACE TECHICIAN (CONTRACT)
1. Platting and Coating Technician
- This role is to prepare the parts to be plated with protective coating such as to carry out production work as assigned by Team Leader.
- Carry out housekeeping tasks according to Team Leader's instructions to maintain 5S.
- To perform critical special processes such as: Chrome plating, Nickel Plating/cadmium plating, shot-peening, blasting, anodizing, heat treatment, passivation and HVOF stripping for major aircraft components.
- Carry out preparation and plating process according to technical instructions and routers
- Ensure that the quality level of the components repaired meets the specifications
- Carry out routine maintenance of plating tanks, equipment and fixtures (TPM daily, monthly and quarterly)
- Participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement
- Strict compliance to special process (plating, peering) instructions.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned.
2. Bushings Technicians
- This role is to carry out critical measurements of bushing requirements ensuring the bushings are correctly corrosion treated and installation of the bushings.
- Carry out production work as assigned by the Team Leader
- Carry out housekeeping tasks according to the Team Leader to maintan 6S.
- Carry out routine maintenance equipment and fixtures (TPM daily, monthly and quarterly)
- To work out the bush sizes for each job requirement
- Perform inspection of bushing received before sending for special processes (ie Plating,NDT)
- Install bushing, bearings, sleeves using machinery and hydraulic presses
- Execute bush boring to required size by means of light machining (ie honing and reaming)
- Perform surface preparation of component prior to sealant application by degreasing
- Prepare and apply sealant on aircraft component according to Component Maintenance Manual (CMM)
- Perform regular checks on equipment
- Secondly role in the Pre-assembly Section may include Spray Painting and Paint Booth Maintenance.
- Any Other duties as assigned
3. Landing Gear and Components Technicians
- Perform disassembly of landing gear and components
- Clean and strip paint for the components
- Bake and prepare parts for the segregation of components
- Perform part inspection IAW Component Maintenance Manuals and engineering instructions to determine the serviceability of parts
- Ensure that the quality level of the repair and overhaul meets the specifications
- Perform all work in accordance with established safety and compliance procedures.
- Perform regular checks on equipment and maintain them in good condition
- Any other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Able to read blueprints, drawings or engineering information to determine the inspection criteria
- Able to apply math and use measuring instruments eg micrometers, calipers etc
- Highly accurate and detailed along with precision needed to accomplish the role
