About Aqualita Ecotechnology
Aqualita Ecotechnology, a spin-off company from Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory (TLL), has developed a patented Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology that can adequately and cost-effectively help to meet Singapore’s “‘30 by 30”’ food security goal. The innovation aims to combat the worsening impact of climate change, algal bloom in water, and land scarcity. By miniaturising conventional RAS into modular, robust and versatile container-based farms, fish farming can now be safe, sustainable, and scalable. The combination of TLL’s aquaculture capabilities in selecting fish with good genetics, and disease management, together with Aqualita’s engineering expertise creating clean, controlled elements, can unlock the potential of urban aquaculture.
