Role and Responsibilities

What will you achieve?

  • Cash accounting and bank reconciliations for the regional entity.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries as part of the close process and provide functional support on month end activities within APAC region.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet accounts for reconciliation purposes in accordance with the corporate guidelines and timeline.
  • Provide explanations, calculations, supporting documentation and schedules for all reconciliation as assigned, which include, but not limited to GST/VAT balance sheet account.
  • Prepare monthly intracompany transaction schedule and to ensure timely recording of settlement to/from other regional offices for elimination purpose.
  • Identification of system-related and process-related issues and escalation to of issues to the right stakeholders.
  • Streamline and identify continuous improvement opportunities, including clearing of open items, clearing of document currency, profit centers and cost centers restructuring projects.
  • Assist Manager and/or Director in other tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Must Have Skills:

  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Working experience with Finance modules in ERP environment, e.g., SAP and Oracle
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in month-end reporting and statutory audits.
  • Understanding of intercompany elimination in the Group Consolidation process.
  • Good understanding and experience working with multiple foreign currencies.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Have Skills:

  • APAC experience, prior finance shared services experience is a plus.
  • Experience managing requirements under IFRS and US GAAP is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Process-oriented and comfortable working in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control environment
  • Good EQ, ability to work under pressure and ambiguity
