Our Senior / Finance Executive will be an integral part of our Finance team to support the financial accounting and operations of accounts payables, payment, petty cash and fixed assets. The ideal candidate should be an experienced team player who brings enthusiasm and a proactive mindset. You will work with different stakeholders on the following functions:

Record Keeping and Reconciliation

  • Prepare documentation required to deposit cash and cheques ensuring that monies are allocated to the correct bank accounts.
  • Tally the amounts received at the end of the day and compare the number to the total transaction amounts to ensure they match.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of all cashier transactions ensuring no unauthorized access.
  • Prepare invoices and receipts, ensuring accurate filing.
  • Record, invoice, and follow-up any event transactions such as field trip fees, etc.
  • Produce daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required detailing the mix of cash and cheques received.

Petty Cash

  • Control all documentation pertaining to Petty Cash, ensuring that all monies are accounted for.
  • Maintain Petty Cash levels ensuring they do not fall below the set minimum, requesting cash when required.
  • Ensure that Petty Cash is handed out based on limits set for individual stakeholders.

Other duties

  • Coordinate with the Accountant so the entries are booked in the right budgets based on the nature of expenses.
  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
  • Act in accordance with relevant legislation in Singapore, as well as UK guidelines, particularly with regards to educational provision, health and safety initiatives and safeguarding and ensure that all students and staff maintain these standards.
  • Process vendor invoices in the financial system
  • Ensure invoices are properly approved by the departments
  • Review purchases to assess capitalisation of fixed assets where applicable.
  • Process payments to the vendors within the credit terms
  • Process employee expenses and petty cash claims
  • Maintain the fixed assets register
  • Prepare and maintain the audit schedules
  • Ensure timely closing of the accounts payable and fixed assets module on a monthly basis
  • Any other duties as and when they are assigned
  • In addition, you will also be involved in projects to improve the controls and automation of the fixed assets and payment functions.

Safeguarding:

  • Abide by the school safeguarding policy and keep abreast of any changes

Qualifications/Skills

  • Diploma / Degree and above, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent numerical skills with a very high level of accuracy
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work under pressure and multitask
