Key Summary
The incumbent is a highly creative and dynamic individual with acute business acumen to manage, curate, implement and sustain the programmes and initiatives of Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist to plan and design programmes/initiatives for Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan while proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective action
- Asisst to recommend and adopt effective marketing strategies for new and existing programmes through various channels, in line with the Foundation’s objectives
- Ensure that expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costs
- Assist to draft application and proposals for submission to funding authorities to maximize grants and license approvals for operating the cafe
- Assist to oversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of café staff and volunteers
- Help to establish work standards and processes for the effective administration and running of the cafe
- Identify strategies to attract and engage the seniors in the community
- Manage successful partnerships, collaborations and communication with various stakeholders
Key Requirements
- Minimum Degree/Diploma with 3 years of working experience of a similar capacity in a service-oriented industry
- Certificate in Food Hygiene is preferred but successful candidates without the certification must be willing to complete the course
- Preferably with some hands-on experience in food preparation
- Experience with social media and in managing volunteers will be a plus
- Team player with excellent people management skills
- Resourceful and possess strong organisational skills
- Penchant for working with the elderly and their caregivers
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin
- Ability to converse in Chinese dialects is an added advantage
Salary range is indicative and will commensurate with qualification and experience.
