What you'll do:
- Lead and grow the data engineering team, define the data engineering vision and roadmap to align with company business goals
- Design and implement state-of-art big data solutions to support the rapid growth of the business
- Define and produce ETL architecture including key designs on integration standards
- Develop a highly efficient and scalable data pipeline and processes to process huge volume of data
- Manage and optimize data analytics solutions to support in-depth analysis of business data and insights
- Recommend different ways to constantly improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Collaborate with product managers, data analysts to understand product needs and integrate new changes to the existing big data infrastructure
- Work with data governance team to meet data compliance and security standards
- Constantly identify opportunities for improvement and speadhead data engineering initiatives
What you'll need:
- A degree or higher in Computer Science or related technical disciplines
- Team leading experience in managing and mentoring data engineers
- Experience in designing and building large scale data platform to work with strctured and unstructured data sets
- Understanding of data platform architecture and data anlytics solutions
- Experience in big data, database, and analytics processes including data ingestion, storage, fault-toleratnt data pipelines, data cleaning, data warehouse, and data integration.
- Solid coding skills and development experience, well-versed in Python and other programming languages
- Experience working in a cloud-based environment, such as GCP or AWS
- Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to learn quickly
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- A start-up attitude – highly collaborative with an entrepreneurial, roll-up-your sleeves attitude that’s not afraid to work independently when required
