Responsibilities
Pre-sales Support:
- Evaluate samples provided by customers and generate a comprehensive evaluation report.
- Include optic setup details such as field of view (FOV), camera specifications, and lighting types.
- Perform image analysis of defects using in-house imaging software.
- Provide comments on findings and propose potential solutions.
Collaborate closely with the Product and Sales teams.
Pre-shipment Support:
- Create a vision configuration report with 2D CAD drawings.
- Develop system schematic diagrams using 2D CAD drawings.
- Generate 2D CAD drawings for trigger cables, strobe cables, and I/O interface cables.
- Prepare application notes and communication protocol documents in Microsoft Word.
- Install and set up Vision PC on semiconductor sorter and scanner machines.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team.
Post-shipment Support:
- Act as a backup for service personnel in field troubleshooting of Vision PC.
- Provide phone and Team Viewer remote support.
- Collaborate closely with the Field Service team.
In-house Components Co-development Support (Occasionally):
- Evaluate camera sensor sensitivity and response time.
- Select appropriate light sources for specific applications and assess light intensity spreading.
- Optimize optical setups and select suitable optical components.
- Test new software releases in collaboration with the R&D team.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Physics or Optics Engineering with 2 years working experience
- Diploma holders in Mechatronics / Mechanical or Electrical & Electronics will also be considered
- Experience with 2D CAD drawing, optical design software, optical alignment and optical testing preferred
