JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
- Create sales network for start-up wholesale business of various types of Indian products (vegetables/groceries/household items)
- Evaluate current Indian grocery inventory and make suggestions for continuous improvement based on market research and understanding the purchasing habits of consumers
- Help establish Trans Orient’s export wholesale business of Indian household and groceries products
- Develop and implement marketing strategies, identify and evaluate business opportunities and foster strong customer relationships
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold, and implement price and credit policies
- Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- Plan,direct and evaluate the operations of establishments engaged in wholesale and retail sales or of departments in such establishments
- Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes and effect of competitors' operations on sales
- Manage and support distribution channels in fulfilling sales objectives and achieving the best market coverage.
- Establish new sourcing networks and strengthen existing supplier relationships for household and grocery goods desirable to our customers
- Maintain strong business relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Manage staff and assign duties, plan budgets and authorize expenditures, resolve customer complaints.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Company
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Business or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, wholesale brand consumer products with a preference for the industry
- Preferably with experience in wholesale/retail packaging (household, groceries,vegetables) and good knowledge in Indian Wholesale products distributions through various channels
- 2A/2B/Class 3 compulsory. Preferably posses own transport. (Required to travel from time to time)
- Knowledge of SFA and RSS for rice.
- Willing to do rotating shift work
- Able to work longer hours with prolonged period of standing.
- Must work on weekends/PH. (Strictly off on week days)
- Field work required. Need to do delivery if driver is off / medical leave or urgency of goods when required
- Preferably Bilingual to be able to communicate well to liaise with Indian suppliers and vendors in view of working/business environment communication
- Must have knowledge of basics about Indian products(vegetables/groceries/household items)market in Singapore
- Ability to do multi-tasking & work well in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
