PURPOSE
You will be responsible for handling of Order Fulfilment (Purchasing), Control & Manage Inventory and support & assist the Manager in achieving the departmental goals & objectives.
JOB DUTIES
- Responsible for strategic buy to meet Customers’ demand.
- Responsible for managing forecast to suppliers and maintain optimum inventory level.
- Ensure the availability of goods with alignment with Planning Team to meet Customer Request Dates.
- Understand and manage risks to minimize gap in supply. Initialize risk buy if necessary.
- Monitor and highlight potential material obsolescence due to forecast changes.
- Responsible for any excess buy and ageing Purchase Orders.
- Take follow-up actions and escalate in relation to any delinquency that affect Customer on-time delivery.
- Develop and drive process improvement & procedures to optimize efficiency.
- Analyze and implement supply chain solutions eg JIT/VMI process to meet inventory turns.
- Review and ensure Purchasing Strategies stay relevant for each material.
- Responsible for the correctness and completeness of the purchasing parameters in the Database Management.
- Execute any other tasks assigned by Manager.
EXPERIENCE:
- 5 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Business Central or related ERP systems.
- Experience in production planning & control / forecasting / inventory management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong execution skills in Microsoft Office esp Excel & Power BI.
- Versatile and be open to other supply chain roles.
- Good communication skill ((English & Mandarin).
