Our client is a Singapore based deep technology start-up that offers best-in-class A.I. and

robotics solutions for the air cargo and logistics industry. We aim to transform the US $ 6 trillion logistics industry by bringing innovative A.I. and Robotics solutions that help revenue growth and deliver increased profitability across industry participants.

They are currently working with large players in the air cargo industry such as Etihad Airlines, dnata (Emirates group), SATS, WFS, Emirates SkyCargo, Menzies Aviation etc., the roll out of our solutions, requires deployment at different locations for the Airline and Ground handling stations across the globe. Deployments are envisaged in South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Abu Dhabi, Germany, Netherlands, UK & the US, besides potential locations in Southeast Asia. They are looking to build a team of committed talented individuals who are passionate about being at the forefront of deploying transformative solutions. They seek independent thinkers who have a strong belief in their capabilities, self-starters who believe in letting their work speak for them.


Role and Responsibility

The Solutioning & Deployment Engineer will play a key role in the deployment of the solution globally. This role requires the candidates to fulfil four specific functions as a part of their responsibility, viz., Solutioning, Deployment which includes Process Mapping & Transformation, Training and Performance Management. The role requires the candidate to interface with the Head of Operations, Managers and Users on the client side. S/he should be an excellent project manager, communicator and have the ability to coordinate between the customer and internal resources required to successfully deploy and maintain the solutions at customer locations.


Key Responsibilities

- General

o Have an in-depth understanding of the functions and features of the suite of products and develop functional competence in deployment & utilising them for creating value for the customer.

o Project Management for successful deployment and launch of The solutions at different customer locations.

o Liaising with customers, internal stakeholders, suppliers etc., to make sure timely launch of the solutions

o IT deployment including networking & basic trouble shooting capability.


- Solutioning & Process Mapping

o Undertake a study for the deployment of Cargo Eye from an infrastructure perspective. Provide a solutioning document and supervise customer deployment of Cargo Eye system.

o Ensure that all the solutions are connected and ready for go live.

o Identify points of integration between the solutions and customers IT infrastructure and work with the internal resources and Customers IT teams to enable integration and flow of information required for the system to go live.

o Undertake a process study of current operations at customer location – for the deployment of Cargo Eye and Assemble products.

o Develop in conjunction with the customer a “to be” process that will enable the deployment of the solution for minimum impact to existing process but maximise adoption and benefit from usage of the solutions.


- Training & Transformation

o Train customer personnel on The solution and the new process that will be deployed for the customer.

o Establish a process with the customer to ensure ready access to support for the solutions – identify and create a set of internal experts for the customer by successfully deploying Train the Trainer programme

o Conduct both Class room training for the users on The solutions and supervise On the Job training for the users to ensure that the users become proficient in the product and process so that The solutions are utilised by the customer


- Performance Management

o To track the usage and performance of the solution at the locations where the solution has been deployed.

o Identify areas for improvement and proactively engage in training to ensure that right usage of the solutions.

o Ensure that the billing from customer is not effected due to ineffective transformation, changes in personnel, lack of training etc., proactively take steps to address and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and utilisation.

o Identify opportunities for enhancing and increasing engagement with the customer


Educational Qualifications & Skills

- Preferred Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science

- Good Knowledge of Networking

- Experience in working with cloud systems like Azure and AWS will be an added advantage

- Programming skills such as C++, python etc., will be an added advantage

- Product Engineering knowledge will be an added advantage


Job Requirements

- Very high analytical capabilities

- Candidates with 5-8 years of experience

- Candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Problem solver with a positive can-do attitude

- Ability to conduct training

- Experience in project delivery and client relationship management

- Ability to work independently with a goal centric approach and open to take on new and different tasks

- Comfortable with warehouse environment

- The candidate should be willing to undertake extensive short term international travel for deployment at different locations globally
