Job Responsibilities
- Design internal audit procedures and work programs suitable to the business processes of individual job assignments.
- Evaluate and provide reasonable assurance that risk management, control and governance systems are functioning as intended to enable the organization’s objectives and goals to be met.
- Report identified risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies to the relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations for improving the organization’s operations, in terms of efficient and effective performance.
- Maintain open communication with various stakeholders as well as within the team, to clearly present issues and effectively bring across key points of a discussion.
- Contribute to internal department initiatives and other internal projects, as requested.
- Provide coaching to junior members of the team to help provide guidance and supervision.
- Support the Internal Audit Manager in the management of the team engagement during fieldwork to ensure that the team tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide assurance of the governance conditions of the areas audited to help prevent recurring audit issues from occurring.
- Timely submission of work for review and assessment by the team managers.
- Timely escalation of audit issues noted that is value adding to the business.
- Execution of audit procedures that will effectively assess/detect the operating control environment in reaction to the situation noted during the audit fieldwork.
Requirements
- Good grasp of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Good understanding of Controls and Risks
- Audit experience in International Accounting Firms
- Accounting and audit knowledge
- Competent in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
- Knowledge of SAP and Team-Mate systems
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive attitude with ability to work well in a team
- Independent and able to adapt well to different work environments
- Willing to travel for long periods for each audit assignment.
- Ability to work under tight timelines to complete the relevant tasks required for each individual job assignment.
