Abacus Capital – Corporate Advisory - Analyst
Abacus Capital runs a Corporate Advisory practice in which the firm advises corporate clients on strategy, capital raising and M&A. The Analyst at Abacus Capital will be expected to participate in the entire lifecycle of the advisory deal process, from origination to execution.
Role and responsibilities:
- Origination, structuring and execution of M&A / Fundraising / Corporate finance deals
- Financial modeling and valuation analysis, using different methods, e.g., DCF, market comps, etc.
- Preparing pitch books, info memos and investor presentation materials for client meetings
- Due diligence & valuation analysis on corporates and assets
- Market, industry and company research and report writing, use of databases, e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ, etc.
- Good stakeholder management, liaising with different teams, clients, and third-party advisers
Profile Of Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or accounting or closely related areas of Business Administration
- Ideally more than 1 year of working experience with M&A experience (i.e. investment bank, Big 4 Corporate Finance/Transaction services) - Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the qualifications, skills, and experience of the selected candidate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates problem-solving and organizational skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced in assisting with client development
- Analytical and numerate with basic accounting and finance knowledge
- Proficiency with Bloomberg, CapIQ, Excel, PPT and Word
