Overview of Partnerships Team / Unit


The Partnerships Team develops and builds partnerships and relationships that drive income to support WWF’s conservation goals. The team’s aim is to contribute significant, sustainable levels of philanthropic funding from 1) high-networth individuals (HNWI) 2) trusts and foundations, 3) companies to support the local (Singapore-based) and regional (mainly South-East Asia) conservation, sustainability and education programmes in order to advance WWF-Singapore’s mission.

The team works closely with the Senior Management Team and peers in Conservation, Communications, Sustainable Finance, and Accounting and Finance teams to effectively contribute to the implementation of WWF-Singapore’s partnerships and philanthropic strategy.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:


We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, people person with a positive attitude that could help manage and steward WWF’s partnerships. This is a maternity cover role and you will be working closely with our core team to drive long-term partnerships with new and existing partners as well as engaging them through different activities.


Primary Role in Stewardship & Communications (85%) Account Management & Relationship Building

  • Multitask and manage medium to priority partnerships and ensure that existing partners are stewarded appropriately, resulting in profitable long-term partnerships.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with partners and/or relevant stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure they are informed.
  • Proactively identify partnership-related issues and challenges, communicate and implement timely solutions.
  • Map partnership outcomes according to agreement terms and provide regular impact reporting to partners.
  • Work with the relevant Project Team to ensure progress of partnership outcomes and deliverables are on track as per agreement.
  • Responsible for managing, tracking and spending of funds received by certain partnerships, in close collaboration and alignment with the Project and Finance teams.
  • Gather data and insights from the partnerships managed to be shared with the Stewardship Team for the development of long-term partnership strategies and retention plans.

Strategic Partnership Communications

  • Work closely with the Partnership Communications lead on communications-related deliverables under partnerships.
  • Work together with the Communications Team on development of thought leadership, PR & Media pieces for partnerships.
  • To analyse, monitor and explore opportunities to communicate about partnerships through various channels.
  • Co-lead the execution of the Annual Partnership Reports to recognise key partnerships and maintain transparency as part of network standards.
  • Co-lead the development of the quarterly Partnerships Newsletter to communicate project updates and key highlights to the partnerships database.

Corporate Engagements

  • Lead the planning and execution of community or employee engagement activities for corporate partners (eg. Green Talks, Workshops etc.).
  • Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders to deliver engagements effectively.

Secondary Role in Engagements & Fundraising (15%) Business Expansion

  • Support the Partnership development team with any business development activity as required.
  • Identify new opportunities within existing partnership to expand the scope of work and raise more funding for WWF’s conservation work in Singapore and regionally
  • Successfully renew existing accounts.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Corporate Marketing, Events, Marketing or Communications or any other relevant field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience in Agency, Corporate Marketing, Client Servicing and/or Event Management preferred.
  • Previous work experience in an international NGO sector will be an advantage.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in the English language. Bilingual is a plus.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Possess strong account management or client servicing skills
  • Adaptable and proactive in managing accounts with minimal supervision. Experience in budget management is a plus.
  • Ability to plan workload, estimate timelines accurately and work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solution-oriented and ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external parties of different levels and backgrounds.
  • Great listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to meet tight timelines and handle multiple projects while meeting the needs of project partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in an international and multilingual environment is essential.
  • Familiarity with basic softwares such as Google Suites and Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience using project management and integration tools (eg. Asana, Active Campaign etc.) is a plus.
  • Basic design skills and knowledge working with Adobe softwares (eg. Illustrator and Photoshop) is a plus.

Working Relationships


Internal – Ensures intra and inter-department collaboration for the optimal use of resources and organisational alignment. Works closely with the Partnerships Team, and the wider Fundraising, Conservation and Communications Team to ensure partnership deliverables are executed in a timely manner and communicated well.


External – Works with various partners supporting WWF’s work. Coordinates with external vendors relating to events, trips, communication materials and as and when required.
