This is a 2-month short term assignment from our Zurich office to Singapore branch to train the local team as part of the Global Control Centre setup to cover the night shift (Zurich time) to provide support services (e.g., for software, hardware, end user devices, networks) and monitoring capabilities to ensure continuous access to IT services and Live Cycle for End Users, with the following key areas of focus:
- Operational monitoring and support of the central and decentralized applications (IBM z/OS mainframe, Unix, Windows etc.) in the IT Control Center
- Execution and monitoring of requests for manual interaction in the different systems using OPC (z/OS) and AWA-Automic scheduling tools
- Perform day to day operational activities which included periodic system checks, IPLs, Start/End of day procedures, system health checks etc.
- Global coordination with Switzerland HUB to implement follow-the-sun model, participating in the shifts handover and keeping track of the main events of the shift in the team sharepoint
- Collaboration on releases, key date changes, disaster recovery tests, etc.
- Early escalation of Incidents to the responsible team and Incident Management organization, according to the applicable Incident Management process and available instructions
- Global collaboration with L2 and L3 responsible of the critical applications
Professional and Technical Requirements
- Mainframe z/OS experience as Operator
- Experience with OPC (z/OS scheduling tool)
- JCL, Batch Scheduling
- AWA scheduling tool experience is a plus
- ITIL basic knowledge
- Experience in a similar role (1st-Level, 2nd-Level and/or Onsite) and in troubleshooting general IT issues
