HSBC Wealth Management leads the Asia-Pacific implementation of our global strategy to deliver world-class solutions to retail and private clients seeking to grow, protect, preserve or transfer their wealth. This involves the development and management of needs-based solutions covering foreign exchange, deposit, investment, insurance and financing products, as well as the provision of suitable market insights and updates, financial planning and advisory services.
We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Premier Insurance Specialist.
Principal Responsibilities
- Conduct Portfolio Reviews with PRMs, assess product suitability and market and regulatory change impact to products held by clients as appropriate, identify opportunities and manage risks
- Improve PRMs’ product specific technical knowledge by effective on-job coaching and training
- Join PRMs in meeting clients and providing technical advice and input based on technical knowledge
- Collect and apply market and channel intelligence to identify and share product competitive gaps, service issues, business opportunities, and challenges with stakeholders
- Conduct insurance sales training and encourage insurance sales activities of PRMs, sharing knowledge and encouraging others to do the same
- Liaise between stakeholders and leadership teams on training and leads programs/initiatives.
- Provide support to PRMs on increasing and capturing cross sell opportunities
- Deliver fair outcomes to HSBC Singapore clients and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operations of financial markets
Qualifications
- An accredited Degree/Diploma Holder
- Candidate should have 2 to 5 years of relevant Bancassurance Specialist experience, especially in high net-worth products such as Universal Life and have strong knowledge of the investment climate to provide sound advice in wealth accumulation, legacy planning and premium financing
- Candidate should be mature, confident and possesses strong presentation and pitching skills to hold an effective client conversation with PRM
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the various team members and internal stakeholders
- Have strong passion in training and coaching of insurance products, concept and sales with PRM
- Possesses relevant CMFAS papers: M5, M5A, M9, M9A, HI
To be considered for this role, the relevant rights to work in Singapore is required.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
