YOUR MISSION _________

In this position, you will play a critical role in driving data-driven decision-making and enhancing the business performance in Southeast Asia / Hong Kong / Macau.

Your expertise in business analysis and market intelligence will be instrumental in optimizing profitability and financial KPIs. The role will work in close partnership with the Regional Director, Regional Finance and Local commercial teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sell-out with strong competitive intelligence to drive the business. It will also require the prospective to conduct deep analysis of market trends and to develop mid-term to long term strategic plans in close partnership with Regional Director to create local strategies that is pivotal in growing brand’s market leadership.

Sell-in/Sell-out Reporting & Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the finance and local commercial teams to prepare detailed timely, weekly and monthly sell-in & sell-out reporting. Consolidate monthly budget reporting, incorporating revenue, cost, and expenditure forecasts
  • Monitor and report on actual sell-in/sell-out performance against budgets, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions when necessary
  • Perform business modelling and scenario analysis to assess the impact of different strategies, new projects and market conditions on the budget
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate recording and reconciliation of data, including revenue recognition, cost allocation, and accruals.
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement, proposing recommendations to improve profitability.
  • Develop and maintain reports and BI dashboards that provide insights to sell-in and sell-out reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align budgeting and forecasting with long-term strategic planning

Market, Consumer Insights & Performance Analysis with a Strong Focus on Business Partnership & Stakeholders Communication

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, pricing strategies and competitive landscapes in the beauty markets
  • Monitor global and regional market dynamics, including economic conditions and regulatory changes that may impact the beauty industry
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze customer feedback and behavior data to enhance product offerings and customer experiences
  • Utilize consumer insights to develop strategies that improve product positioning and marketing campaigns
  • Analyze sales, revenue, and profitability data to assess the performance of beauty products across SEA & HKMO region
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of beauty product lines
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to Area Managers, Regional Director and any other related stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, sales, and product development, to align strategies with market insights

Data Management

  • Partner closely with the Retail Excellence and Special projects team to ensure that we deliver high quality analysis, data dashboards and reports that aids the local commercial team to make real-time and proactive business decision
  • Ensure proper management and maintenance data repositories, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data related to sales, inventory, and market trends
  • Utilize data analytics tools and software to extract meaningful insights and create reports and dashboards

Strategic Planning

  • Assist in the development of business strategies for respective markets with Regional Director
  • Regularly review and update the plan to adapt to changing market conditions and emerging opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to develop and deliver persuasive presentations for budgets, mid-long term strategy plan that drive strategic decision-making and foster a data-driven culture within the organization

WHO YOU ARE _________

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Proven experience in business analysis or market analysis, with a focus on the travel retail or beauty sector. Experience with industry-specific data analysis and reporting tools (Generation, Beaute Researche etc.)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong interpersonal skills & experience in matrix environment
  • Tech & digital savvy
  • Strong analytical & coordination skillsets
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, with a strong problem-solving & entrepreneur mindset
