Overview
ING Financial Markets (FM) Client Solutions Group (CSG) is looking for a member to join its multi-asset FM risk solution team on a short-term assignment (STA). Focus will be on servicing APAC clients in the field of non-flow (often event driven) derivatives applications. You will be working in the dealing room - which is a highly dynamic and international environment - where you will also have the opportunity to take on client facing responsibilities.
Client Solutions Group is a global team (with presence in dealing rooms of Amsterdam, Brussels, London, New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Sydney), that works together with various local Corporate Sales teams in more than 25 locations to service our clients. CSG consists of product specialists (non-flow Rates, FX Options, Commodities and Equity) and area specialists (Project Finance, Debt Capital Markets, M&A). The team functions as a linking pin between Origination Sales, Sector Coverage bankers, Trading, Structuring, and Execution Sales.
We are looking for a person that can boost the inclusion of quantitative elements (including full risk analytics) in the pitching activities of our salesforce by demonstrate generally (or on a client specific basis) the objectives of hedging strategies. By visiting clients in the region together with sales we want to introduce and scale the risk analytics offering further in APAC based on client feedback.
You will be based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Map out the WB APAC client base and determine where Risk Analytics could give us an edge.
- Draw up a plan together with local Sales Heads and identify a set of target clients per country
- Create Risk Analytics pitches and deliver these to clients across the APAC region
- Teach and equip sales and CSG colleagues on Risk Analytics tools and approaches.
- Identify and groom APAC based FM colleagues that can be the Risk Analytics ambassador beyond the STA

- Strong quantitative, financial, legal, and analytical skills
- Experience in treasury sales and a proven track record of (being part of) generating FM revenues with corporate clients
(C) Other important pre-requisites
- 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the financial services sector.
- Some experience as a Financial Markets professional, with a degree in economics, and/or CFA or equivalent bachelor/masters degree
- Solid knowledge of financial markets and related instruments / products is considered essential
- Good command of spoken and written English
