Assistant Manager, Rewards

Summary

As an integral part of the Regional Rewards Team, the incumbent will support the Regional Head of Rewards in developing and delivering the Company’s total reward strategies which supports the Company in attracting and retaining talents. He/she will also manage rewards programs and processes in close partnership with the Group Companies’ (GCs) HR Teams, to ensure market competitiveness and alignment with regional policies, compliance with applicable laws, regulations and policies.


Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Rewards Partner

As a rewards cluster partner:

  • You will be involved in partnering country HR team to deliver rewards solution to the business, monitor and solicit program feedback to ensure proper governance and to enhance the effectiveness of rewards programs and processes within the region.
  • Manage position evaluation, model salary structures, simulate companies’ rewards competitiveness analysis to support salary budgeting decisions, to enable effective talent attraction and retention in the cluster.
  • Provide consultative advice to business and country HR team.

Benefits

Provide leadership and work hand in hand with the cluster rewards partners on the followings:


General Benefits

  • Responsible for benefits analysis across the region.
  • Pull together country benefits and benchmark data for the different markets.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and work with group companies to identify benefits to sunset, modify or add, to keep benefits provision relevant, with reference to market trend and Bridgestone demographics to maximize value.
  • Conduct feasibility study, cost simulation and provide proposals on new proposed benefits.


Insurance

  • With collaboration from insurance broker, align all group companies insurance renewals. Consolidate renewal activities, consolidate insurances premiums for regional alignment and approval.
  • Work closely with insurance broker to gather region countries’ market trends on employees’ risks and medical benefits. Determine gap to market and identify areas for improvements. Work with group companies on feasibility and proposal.


Long Term Incentive

  • Manage the region Long Term Incentive Plan which include providing support for plan design, market competitiveness analysis and administration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in human resources, business management or administration, from an accredited university.
  • At least 10 years of rewards experience in the Asia Pacific region. Relevant experience in consulting, project management and rewards operations will be advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Office skills, especially in Excel and Powerpoint.


Candidate should demonstrate:

  • Strong qualitative and analytical skills, with strong understanding of principles and practices of rewards systems and programs
  • Strong interpersonal and consultation skills, with the ability to interact and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Success in driving change, achieving targets and working across the different regions/ countries and teams
  • Ability to understand broader business perspectives and approach complex issues with appropriate solutions
  • Ability to perform independently under limited supervision in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment.
  • High level of integrity, respect for others, persistence and passion for success.
  • Ability to create and explain presentations at adequate level.
  • Ability to coordinate and organize meetings in order and organized manner.
