Product Specialist (Game Operations)

As the product champion, this role works across various functions such as Game Planning, Product Management, Product Marketing and Community Management. The candidate assists the Product Manager to defend the product’s position in the gaming ecosystem as well as achieve operational and business targets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the localization of in-game content in consideration of local/regional marketability and consumers’ preferences.
  • Responsible for the conceptualization and implementation of additional in-game and web-based content, offline and online events or activities to enhance the overall user experience.
  • Monitor industry competitors and market trends towards developing product positioning strategies.
  • Manage and aggregate game data to keep track of user trends to identify opportunities in increasing and retaining product user base.
  • Facilitate communications and manage efforts of developers and internal departments such as IT, Web, Marketing/PR, Game Support/QA, Customer Service, towards ensuring deliverables related to the product goal are met on a timely basis.
  • Provide comprehensive daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports to the Product Lead and to other departments, keeping them abreast of project progress and major issues.
  • Maintain product quality through managing QA processes and prioritizing bug fixes for the developer.
  • Housekeep and maintain all platforms and tools related to the management of the product and its gaming community.
  • Other Ad-hoc duties include, but are not limited to:
    - Perform various writing duties and conceptualization of websites.
    - Review the quality of translated scripts and creative design taskings.
    - Curation and creation of social media content for the product’s social channels.
    - Source, evaluate and review potential game titles for new product acquisition.

Job Requirements

Fluency in English and an avid interest in PC and Mobile gaming is a minimum prerequisite for this position. The ideal candidate should:

  • Ideally have prior experience in the gaming or IT-related industry.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be highly organized with very strong attention to details.
  • Be passionate and well-acquainted with MSEA post-2016 till current.
  • Be able to work independently with a keen sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Be willing to work long and/or irregular hours when required.
