Dulwich College (Singapore) is seeking a Receptionist to cover a maternity leave till April 2024. This role will be assigned to the Junior School.
Duties of the role will include:
- To welcome visitors, parents, students and colleagues to the College and promote a professional image;
- To answer the telephone in a professional manner and transfer calls to the appropriate individuals, divisions or departments, taking messages where required ensuring recipient received the message;
- To ensure that meeting rooms, reception and waiting areas are tidy and welcoming for visitors to the school;
- To arrange transportation for visitors and colleagues as required;
- To manage daily attendance list of students;
- In liaison with teachers, to follow-up students’ absences with parents by phone call and email; Assisting students leaving early during school hours;
- Assisting students during school dismissal;
- To use Microsoft Office in creating and managing a variety of documents, including letters, reports, emails and forms;
- To effectively organise and maintain relevant files, logbook and records;
- In liaison with TransitLink; applying new applications or extensions for TransitLink concession cards on behalf of local students;
- Collect out-going post, and liaise with courier companies to arrange pick-ups where required, while organising and maintaining these records on the logbook and the airway bill file;
- To manage “Lost and Found” property efficiently including organising, storage, recording, disposal and contacting relevant persons;
- To ensure the pantry and stationery supplies are stocked and replenished in liaison with Junior School Campus Administrators;
- To carry out such other administrative tasks and duties as required, and as designated to you by College leadership.
All other duties that commensurate with the post.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years experiences in Customer Service and Reception.
- Previous office admin experience in a school setting is a plus.
- Good team player, good personality, service oriented, positive attitudes to learning new skill sets.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Pleasant and vibrant.
- Love meeting people.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Able to multitask and is well organised.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
