Make an Impact by
- Preparation of RFI, design briefs, technical reports
- Work with appointed consultants for all new builds.
- Deliver cost-effective design deliverables in compliance with statutory and stakeholders’ requirements.
- Co-ordinate with architect and other consultants to resolve interface issues and technical clarifications.
- Review tender documents (conditions of contract, specifications, and tender drawings)
- Involved in overall project lifecycle from study, planning, designing, tendering and in construction stages.
- Manage new Data Centre project execution for green and/ or brown field projects.
- Development of project master program, project charter and set up project processes.
- Translate business requirement/plan into executable project deliverables.
- Prepare project budget capital funding, manage approved project capital funding cashflow and spending within approved budgets.
- Timely and accurately reporting of project progress and expenditure to management.
- Day to day construction oversight to ensure the project are carrying out safely complying with EHS requirement, on schedule, cost efficient that is within approved budget and compliance with specification.
- Assist in researching new technologies that could apply to new DC or to enhance current DC.
- Liaise with Engineering Solution, Energy & Sustainability and DC Operation colleagues for project requirements.
- Oversee to ensure Environment, Safety and Occupational Health implementation by project contractors.
- Proactive communication, mentoring and guiding the Team to ensure their constant development.
Skills for Success
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Civil & Structural Engineering preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Data centre, buildings or infrastructure works.
- Knowledgeable in Autocad and/or BIM software will be an advantage.
- Strong project/construction management skills would be an advantage.
- Familiar with Data Centre risk redundancy configurations and requirement.
- Knowledgeable in various M&E critical systems (e.g. UPS, Generator, Chiller, Cooling Tower) requirement including testing and commissioning (i.e. FAT, SAT, IST) would be advantage.
- Resourceful and excellent problem-solving skills, timely escalation to superior.
