Intern, Programme Management (cum Finance), MENDAKI Club (Diploma Students)

You will be supporting Mendaki Club’s (MClub) Secretariat Team, as an intern, and will have opportunities to learn and work in meaningful MClub programmes and/or projects. You will also provide basic assistance in the financial operations for the volunteer-led organization.


You will be expected to work between stipulated time on weekdays but will also be required to work on evenings and over weekends, to support executive committee meetings and programmes (claimable via working hours time-off).


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support Logistical Needs of MClub and/or YMC programmes.
  • Support Secretariat team to execute internal operational needs, including administrative tasks and event management.
  • Support MClub Finance Administration which includes procurement, book keeping and/or records management, preparing monthly financial statements and assisting audit process with founding member, Yayasan MENDAKI.
  • Coordinate with programme leads and volunteers to execute projects,including communications with external stakeholders.

Learning Objectives & Outcomes

  • Learn about programme and event management in the context of volunteer-led initiatives for the MM community.
  • Learn about the supporting roles of a Secretariat team in a volunteer-led initiatives for an MM community.
  • Learn about supporting the role of the Finance department in a bigger ecosystem - includes practicing prudence in managing national assets.
  • Learn about MM community issues and efforts towards solving these issues.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma and/or waiting to be admitted to a University.
  • Able to commit to a minimum internship period of 5 weeks.
  • Have some and relevant experience in Event / Project Management.
  • Good inter-personal skills.
  • Willing to learn and eager to try new things.
