Senior Accountant

Reporting to Accounting Manager based in Singapore, you will be responsible for the daily finance operations and timely financial/management reporting, tax and audit for the ASEAN and ANZ operations. You will also be partnering closely with global shared services (located in Pune, India), sales and marketing, Services, etc. in the running of the daily operations and ensuring compliance to policies and controls. We're offering 1-year contract for this position.


Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results each month
  • Ensure accurate and timely month end/quarter end/year end closing
  • Maintain GL and bank reconciliations, fixed assets register and capitalization
  • Review AP trial balance for invoices more than 45 days outstanding and invoices on-hold
  • Assist to provide evidences and answer queries from Internal Audit & Business Control teams for low scope SOX compliance audit
  • Enforce Accounting regulations and recommend new procedures and continually identify process improvements
  • Manage the annual audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
  • Liaise with external parties (such as Auditors, Regulations and Professional service agencies)
  • Identifying, articulating and communicating project and accounting operation risks to management, along with clear recommendations for resolution or mitigation

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Strong willingness and ability to learn.
  • Good organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, managing tasks from initiation to completion.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with various stakeholders.
  • Proven problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving tax-related issues.
  • Exposure to Local GAAP, US GAAP, IFRS will be ideal
  • Knowledge of Oracle R12 is highly preferred.
