To support its growth ambitions and to drive business performance, Compass Group Singapore seeks to appoint an IT Manager to join its dynamic team.

The IT Manager is responsible to oversee the overall functioning of the D&T department which includes day-to-day management, operations, delivery, compliance and support of D&T Infrastructure for the Singapore office encompassing about 120 to 150 IT users. The role is hands on, and is required to have technical expertise in end user computing activities, knowledge of hardware, software and end user requirements.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the following, in collaboration with the Singapore Leadership Team, Regional D&T team & external industry, to
  1. formulate IT policies, processes & infrastructure governance based on Group’s governance and business requirements
  2. develop the D&T technology for the Singapore business including developing budgets, identifying key transformational projects and managing day to day operations
  3. ensure key security goals and objectives are met in line with Group requirements
  4. research best practice, technology to develop new ideas and initiatives to create market differentiation
  • Effectively manage IT 3rd party providers, associated SLAs and contracts to deliver business outcomes
  • Manage IT procurement function including end user computing licensing of hardware, software & services
  • Manage the standard IST components in new bids and include wider team if necessary
  • Communicate effectively with external service providers, regional technical teams and providing the layman bridge to business
  • Provide on-going support and maintenance of IT applications to ensure service stability and availability. Leverage third party providers and regional resources as relevant. Includes SAP, Telephony/ Network providers & POS systems
  • Collaborate with DDI Project Manager and relevant vendors on digital software maintenance, development and implementation
  • Provide general business-as-usual (BAU) in-person or remote technical support to end users on IT issues where necessary
  • To perform the duties & responsibilities of Data Protection Officer (TBC)
  • Perform other duties within his/her capabilities as required by the business

Job Requirements:


Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years technology experience across infrastructure, applications, and security
  • Experience in managing Cloud Infrastructure and SaaS services (AWS, Azure, M365)
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Window11, Cisco switching and routing technologies.
  • Knowledge of information security and related key IT controls
  • Strong background and skills in end user computing, telephony, networking and mobile devices. Ideally ITIL and Prince Project qualified
  • Advanced understanding and qualification of ITIL, SLA management, Change Approval Boards and Service Reporting
  • Ability to champion change and influence teams to adopt new ways of working and change programs
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and deal with conflicting priorities
  • Ability to function as a leader as well as a contributor in the team environment
  • Strong customer service experience with focus on service to our client base
  • Must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and written skills
  • Willingness to listen and learn continually
