The job holder will be part of the Practices team within the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council.
Primary responsibilities include facilitating the adoption of best practices by setting acceptable standards, promotions and outreach and engage the industry on the latest technological development that would advance the workplace safety and health.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and revise existing industry WSH standards and guidelines.
- Drive the adoption of WSH best practices.
- Develop WSH Alerts on recent workplace dangerous occurrences, incidents and fatalities, and share lessons learnt and recommendations.
- Assist in the organisation of the bi-annual National WSH Conference for leading professionals, business leaders and government officials to exchange ideas, solutions, and practices for the advancement of WSH practices in the Asia Pacific region.
- Provide technical assistance (e.g., WSH guidance and information) to internal stakeholders.
- Support industry clusters through technical support in terms of industry scanning, identification of WSH needs and development of collaterals.
- Identify, assess and issue annual WSH (Approved Codes of Practice) Notification.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education in engineering.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience and industry exposure.
- Those who have just completed tertiary education or have less than 3 years of work experience may apply. The job role offered shall commensurate with your experience.
- Preferably a registered WSH Officer or with WSH-related competencies.
- Strong project management, analytical and communication skills (especially in technical writing).
- Self-motivated, meticulous, resourceful and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working with people at all levels, including senior management, subject matter experts and stakeholders from other agencies.
