Our client is a Global Manufacturing MNC, one of the leading players in the Oil & Gas servicing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Welding Supervisor to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.
Job Responsibilities:
- Estimate the overlay and weld cost and support during tender stage.
- Lead and supervise a team of welders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and industry standards.
- Oversee all welding operations/procedures are comply with industry standards and project specifications.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for welding activities, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Involved with various projects utilizing various techniques (e.g, SMAW, GMAW, Autogenous orbital, etc) tube to tube welding
- Work closely with other members of the engineering team and project team regarding project welding qualifications and welding issues
- Quality management system and auditing – API and ISO qualification.
- Implement NDE methods and technique as per project requirements for specific part design.
- Conduct meeting, drive continuous improvement initiatives within the welding operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Generate reports on welding progress, quality assurance, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Min Degree in Engineering or other relevant equivalent field of study.
- Min 5 years relevant experience in welding process.
- Good understanding of API and ISO standards would be advantageous.
