The Role
As the Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for performing daily finance and accounting functions for the Asia private equity funds. Additionally, the Fund Accountant is expected to help coordinate on valuations, investor services, and tax compliance as related to the funds.
- Assist in the preparation and review of fund, general partner, and co-investor financial statements, including partner capital account statements.
- Review cash transactions and reconciliations prepared by fund administrators.
- Assist in the invoice allocation and approval process.
- Assist in regulatory reporting matters such as XBRL, FAR reporting, MAS declarations, quarterly GST filings etc.
- Analyze and interpret deal documentation for financial reporting purposes.
- Work in conjunction with fund administrators and communicate necessary information.
- Assist with capital calls and distributions for the funds and co-investors.
- Assist with quarterly and annual closings, including audit requests.
- Assist with responding to investor requests.
- Ensure controls are in place and accounts are accurate.
- Special projects as they arise.
Requirement
- 2-5 years of audit, accounting, or previous private equity or asset management experience.
- ACCA/CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of IFRS/U.S. GAAP.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
- Individual must be diligent and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines with great attention to detail.
- Well-organized with the ability to pivot as needed due to shifting priorities.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft’s suite of office products.
