Job Role Summary:

The Payroll Analyst plays a crucial role in actively collaborating with clients and key internal stakeholders within the Global Payroll organization.

This position entails providing support for the APAC/CEMEA Region to guarantee adherence to rules, regulations, and laws.

The Payroll Analyst is tasked with employing independent judgment to develop payroll metrics, checklists, and lead payroll projects.

Essential qualifications include familiarity with APAC/CEMEA payroll legislation, experience in internal and external audits, as well as knowledge of statutory and government agency regulations.

The incumbent should possess the ability to creatively synthesize vast amounts of data from diverse sources, design impactful dashboards, and effectively interact with, filter, and analyze data to communicate insights and ensure accurate and compliant payroll processes. Additionally, this role involves overseeing initiatives aimed at streamlining payroll processes, policies, and controls.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examine and validate payroll processing outcomes across all countries using technology, employing reports and macros.
  • Conduct comprehensive post-payroll audits, generate metrics, and track errors utilizing technology and reporting tools.
  • Evaluate existing payroll procedures to pinpoint areas for process enhancement, standardization, and risk mitigation.
  • Establish payroll processes in alignment with the company's policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Document payroll processes and procedures, creating process maps and payroll training manuals.
  • Supervise payroll projects or change requests, monitor their status, and provide reports to leaders/stakeholders.
  • Interpret pay policies, including holiday work, overtime, deduction calculation basis, government regulations, withholding exemptions, ensuring accurate calculations and application to respective accounts.
  • Maintain payroll systems and tools, ensuring accurate computation and recording of time, earnings, benefits, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and other elements impacting net pay and company liability.
  • Review manual checks and payroll-related adjustments processed in the payroll system.
  • Verify compliance with government payroll requirements and stay updated on legal changes.
  • Oversee payroll system testing for version upgrades and legislative updates.
  • Manage internal or external audits and related documentation required by government agencies for compliance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis, implementing constructive and preventative actions (CAPA).
  • Ensure all payroll-related data is handled in accordance with the company's guidelines for confidential data handling processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Possesses a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience with 5 or more years of APAC payroll experience as a Payroll Analyst or Consultant for a large multi-country employer, in addition to 3 or more years of project management experience as part of a project team.
  • Relevant certification or experience in multi-country payrolls is advantageous, and familiarity with project management is a plus.
  • Maintains an above-average and up-to-date knowledge of APAC payroll statutory and regulatory requirements, with expertise in Philippines timekeeping.
  • Demonstrates exposure to various payroll and timekeeping systems such as ADP Globalview, Streamline, and eTime.
  • Has experience in knowledge transfer activities, including transition planning, process documentation, desktop procedures, and payroll checklists.
  • Exhibits the ability to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple projects for timely completion, managing various detailed tasks.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on, growth-oriented work environment with tight timelines.
  • Meticulous with strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, displaying extreme attention to detail as a self-directed individual.
  • Capable of working independently with a positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new concepts.
  • Maintains effective working relationships with payroll vendors and stakeholders.
  • Possesses advanced Excel skills and proficiency in all other Office applications.
  • Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
