Doehle Shipmanagement Pte Ltd Singapore is looking to recruit a Fleet Manager for their new Ship
Management setup The successful applicant will be responsible for looking after a Team and Fleet of
15 20 container and dry bulk vessels ensuring efficient technical operation of the assets The
reporting will be directly to the local Managing Director of the company.
Tasks and Responsibilites:
- Ensure and take responsibility that all vessels of the Team are technically operational, operated within agreed budget and managed according to the applicable rules and regulations
- Build up the relevant Team, lead by example and create a transparent and communicative working environment
- Create and monitor budgets, participate in efficient reporting and support the Team for any tasks This also applies for Dry Dockings in the fleet
- Liaise with Classification societies, flag state administrations and regulatory bodies
- Carry out performance monitoring of your fleet in collaboration with experts within the Doehle group
- Monitor and ensure that claims insurance cases are being handled with care and assist with technical expertise and documentation
- Cooperate closely with the QHSE/Marine Department for any Safety and Security matters on board your fleet
Qualifications and requirements :
- A motivated, driven and eager character interested to build a technical team and implement new structures
- Technical experience at sea as Chief Engineer followed by minimum 5 years ashore in a Technical Superintendent role Ideally also with experience in leading staff
- Capability of evaluating and monitoring complex technical operations of ships trading around the globe. Be responsible, structured and a motivating leader that communicates transparently
- fluent written and spoken English allowing you to lead a multinational team, report to Management and represent the company / group locally
