Responsibilities
· Monitor works towards contract obligations; check schedule and all milestones compliance.
· Develop a pragmatic approach based on contractual analysis of project, to protect on a daily basis of CRFG interests towards customer, partners and, in liaison with sourcing, subcontractors and suppliers.
· Establish and implement project specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding to correspondences, notifications, notices, insurances, warranties and variation requests/orders and claims preparation files. Ensure a reliable filing and easy access of the correspondence from, and to, the customers/partners/subcontractors and suppliers.
· He/she shall be a member of Project Management Core Team and shall be able to provide necessary contractual advices/guidance to the Project Team.
· Liaise with different stakeholders/departments such as Planning, Design, QA/QC, External Legal Advisors, Project Control, Finances, etc in managing and resolving all contractual issues.
· Log and notice facts to customer/subcontractors and suppliers, prepare and manage all elements and materials negotiation of claims and counterclaims.
· Anticipate events and risks; propose various counter-strategies and commercial solutions to keep the situation under control.
· Monitor customer/partners/subcontractors and supplier’s requests to detect variation/change orders to be proposed.
· Management of customer/partners/subcontractors and suppliers Variation Requests/Orders:
· ➢ Follow up the VR/VO list.
· ➢ Prepare commercial offer.
· ➢ Prepare associated contractual letters for the PM approval.
· Manage correspondence by analysing for the Project Manager all incoming correspondence and preparing and reviewing all incoming/outgoing contractual correspondence.
· Provide and prepare periodic report to Project Manager a monthly project contractual activity report and when relevant, alert or flash email.
· Liaise with Sourcing Team to ensure that terms and conditions are timely and wisely transferred to subcontractors and suppliers.
· Manage insurance and warranty matters.
· Provide at any times, on Project Manager demand, a reliable and understandable contractual and commercial analysis of the project.
· Attend all monthly progress meetings with Project Management Teams.
· Monitor subcontractors and suppliers’ performance and progress payment.
· Setting KPI for the QS department.
· Checking and monitoring of the works progress and performance of the QS department.
· To mentor and provide advice and guidance to the QS department.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction / Railway Trackwork industry for major LTA projects.
· Possess a recognised Bachelor Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Railway Engineering / QS.
· Experienced in Project Claims is an advantage.
