Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement and Development:
- Responsible for initiating and completing technical activities leading to new or improved polishing processes.
- Responsible for improving yield and maximizing capacity for current and new equipment.
- Oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods and processes.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis on processes and product failures, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
Polishing Process Management:
- Own and manage the polishing process during process sustainment.
- Ensure all polishing machines consistently perform according to requirements and recommend repairs, upgrades, or modifications.
- Troubleshoot complex problems and ensure machine/equipment uptime.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect data, analyze, and compile summary reports on complex process issues or experiments.
- Prepare various reports, including Bi-weekly TQYR (Technology Quality Yield Report), Yearly Engineering report, and Machine/Process Trouble report for Ops meeting.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
- Create and upgrade equipment or process standard operating procedures to be used by manufacturing technicians.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Participate in and/or lead qualification and validation activities.
- Partner and collaborate with the Engineering team on the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Raise purchase requests for monthly consumable and spare parts and maintain an inventory report for spare parts.
Ad-Hoc Duties:
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by a superior.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Chemical Engineering or in related disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in semiconductor industry or clean room environment.
- Experience in polishing process with knowledge of CMP / Cleaning will be considered as a plus.
- Teamwork and able to handle work in a fast-pace environment.
- Strong analytical skills, utilizing effective trouble shooting and problem-solving techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
- Strong work ethic, initiative, adaptability, and integrity
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Process and equipment FMEA
- Computer proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), and JMP.
