Responsibilities:
- Understanding client / project requirements and interpreting these to design, develop, and implement custom software / applications associated with Atlassian product solutions e.g Jira Core, Jira Software and Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Analyse the source and target Jira instances to identify data structures, custom fields, workflows, and configurations.
- Develop a comprehensive migration plan, including timelines resources, and risk assessment.
- Implement necessary customizations to accommodate the migration.
- JIRA configurations and tweaks. Handle the User Access and configurations for Boards, Templates, Reports, Gadgets, Dashboards, SCRUM/KANBAN Boards, Filters, JQL, JSM queues, JSM Automation, Jira Workflows, Jira Post Functions and etc
- Write Groovy and Java script within the Script runner add-ons to increase process functionality
- To integrate applications with JIRA (ServiceNow, Devops, SonarQube, DAST, SAST tools and etc)
- Conduct thorough testing of the migrated data to validate its accuracy and completeness.
- Enabled improvement in team delivery commitments and capacity planning for sprints
- Maintain detailed documentation of the migration process, configurations, and any custom scripts or tools used.
- Create user guides and training materials for post-migration support
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- At least 4 years’ hands on experience with JIRA. Must have demonstrable experience in configuring and implementing JIRA for medium to large enterprises, JIRA Administration and JIRA automation using Groovy Script.
- Should be able to handle the User Access and configurations for Boards, Templates, Reports, Gadgets, Dashboards, Filters, JQL, JSM queues, JSM Automation, Jira Workflows, Jira Post Functions and etc
- Knowledge of scripting with Atlassian plugins like ScriptRunner, PowerScripts is also preferred.
- JIRA plug-in development knowledge
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket consolidation or other integration projects.
- Should be able to create various reports like Burnup, Burndown, Capacity etc
- JIRA Certification: Official Atlassian JIRA certifications are preferred, such as the Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator.
- Workflow Design: Demonstrable expertise in creating, optimizing, and implementing workflows in JIRA. Advanced workflow design and implementation including adding conditions, validators and post-functions
- API Integration: Capability to integrate JIRA with other tools and platforms used within the company, to ensure a seamless technological ecosystem e.g ServiceNow, Devops, SonarQube, DAST, SAST tools etc
- Data Migration: Experience in safely and efficiently migrating data from other project management tools to JIRA. Experience in Migration of On-Prem Jira to Cloud version is advantageous.
- Training Skills: Capable of creating and conducting efficient training sessions to ensure a smooth transition to the new JIRA setup.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with and secure buy-in from senior stakeholders, such as Directors and Managers.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile project management practices, as projects may employ this methodology.
- Good Communication, collaborative and learning attitude to learn and pick new things
- Self-starter and capability to take the lead in the project is preferred.
