- Design and develop test systems for characterising and validating silicon photonic components, including modulators, detectors, and waveguides.
- Implement automated testing procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the evaluation of silicon photonics devices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of test solutions into the overall product development lifecycle.
- Identify and resolve issues in the testing process, collaborating with other engineers to improve overall product quality.
- Create detailed documentation for test procedures, methodologies, and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in silicon photonics testing technologies, bringing innovative ideas to improve our testing capabilities.
- Establish and enforce quality assurance measures to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test results.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, photonics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in silicon photonics test development with a focus on automated testing systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, LabVIEW for test automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues in the testing process.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
