To further the company's growth, it is also expanding actively in overseas markets and is looking for a Regional Business Development Assistant Manager for the Building Automation business line to join our team. You will work closely with our management team and will be responsible for growing our business in the APAC and India region.
Responsibilities
- Supports the Senior Manager to formulate & execute Marketing and Business Development plan for Building Automation Solutions in the Asia Pacific and India region.
- Liaise with various departments in Headquarter in Japanese language to report the latest trends and requirements in APAC and India region
- Discovers new business opportunities and develops Account Strategy and Action Plan
- Works with company’s affiliate sales to deliver pre-sales product and technical support - engaging with customers, clarification meetings, supporting 3rd party events.
- Uncovers customer value drivers and communicates company's value proposition
- Identifies and influences customer’s decision makers and buying decision criteria
- Promotes collaboration and experience sharing between the company’s affiliates in the region
- Identifies industry trends, collects and assesses competitive and market intelligence.
- Design BMS system architecture, HVAC control system and optimization program tailored to each project requirement.
- Troubleshoot Yamatake and Azbil product problems for existing maintenance at job site.
- Analyse existing BMS operation and HVAC performance to propose system renewal and control system improvement. Regularly contact with Japanese and non- Japanese customers in APAC and India to exchange information.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred; experience in lieu of a degree will be considered for the right candidate
- Minimum 10 years of experience in BMS and Automation industry
- Good industry knowledge, with an existing network of contacts (preference)
- Well versed in specification and selection of Yamatake and Azbil building automation system and product, not limited to system and controller but including field devices like sensors, control valves
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Japanese language is required as the position requires frequent communication with Japanese customers and Japanese members in HQ
