Job purpose
The jobholder is primarily responsible for the management of volunteers and stakeholders, delegating them to our sheltered home, daycare centres and activity ageing centre as well as seniors living in the community. He / She will manage the volunteer skill-upgrading programme. He / She will also be required to support the Community Engagement department with ad-hoc and secretariat duties.
Duties and responsibilities
- Support the department’s operations in coordinating programmes and events with volunteers, community partners and relevant stakeholders.
- Onboard and coordinate volunteers for SASCO Home’s activities. Respond to queries relating to volunteer management matters in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with training vendors and send our volunteers for capability upgrading courses.
- Conduct surveys with seniors to find out & explore Quality-of-Life improvement factors.
- Support the department’s purchase requisition or any other financial requirements via the InfoCare system procedures.
- Support the department’s secretariat work for reporting purposes.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Possess a diploma or higher (no preferred specialisation)
- IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft office applications. Able to work on weekends (ad-hoc basis).
- Preferably 1 – 2 years of work experience in volunteer / stakeholder management and social service / eldercare sector.
- Fresh university / polytechnic graduates are welcome.
