Organisation Overview

Formerly Very Special Arts Singapore, ART:DIS, established in 1993, is a non-profit dedicated to enhancing learning and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities (PwDs) through the arts. Our diverse programmes nurture the artistic interests of PwDs, bolstering their self-confidence and integrating them into a supportive community beyond formal education.

Our professional development pathways ensure sustainable impact, offering valuable work experience to empower PwDs for independent living. We run 3 centres in the community, and serve over 700 individuals annually through the 27 programmes we organise.

Role Overview

This role specifically focuses on growing livelihood opportunities for our artists with disabilities, mainly in the arts & design vocation track. This includes facilitating commissioned artwork, sale of artwork license to businesses, development and retail of art merchandise, organising corporate workshops amongst other business opportunities.

The role will report directly to the Executive Director, and requires the individual to work with independence and confidence to manage corporate and government contracts.

The individual will also be responsible for the growth of ARTDIS Studio (www.artdis-studio.com) as it aims to generate sustainable income livelihoods for the artists.

  • Implement a sustainable business plan encompassing the following areas:
    • Sale of artworks and artworks licenses;
    • Sales of merchandise (www.artdis-studio.com)
    • Commission artworks;
    • Corporate Workshops;
  • Account manage existing partnerships with government agencies, corporates and individuals, families and grow new leads.
  • Manage administrative tasks such as issuing quotations and sales invoices, arranging logistic supports (product packing, printing, setting up in booth sales)
  • Manage and participate in pop-up events for ARTDIS Studio
